Overall I am thrilled with this dining set! I was impressed with the quality and sturdiness of all the pieces. It took my husband about an hour and a half to put it all together and he did so without any real issues. I do have one observation that may be helpful. Because of the table design the chairs do not push in all the way flush to the table. So even though the table is 42", the width you will need to accomodate the table and chairs is larger. From the top of one chair back, across the table to the opposite chair back, is 67.5". Because of that this dining set takes up more space in my breakfast nook than I anticipated, but it still looks great!
