Parson Chairs - When dining out, take an interest in the furniture that surrounds you and when dining in contemporary settings, you will notice that over the last few years there has been an emergence of the "Parsons Chair" as a very commonplace and popular seating solution of choice in those restaurants decorated in the modern style. The design is nothing new, having first gained popularity in Paris around 1900 - being named after the place where it was designed - the Parsons School in Paris, so the design is a simple design motif typical of the rebirth of design values that occurred at that time broadly definable as International Art Nouveau, most characterised in the USA by "mission style" furniture.
